1930s, 1940s Pharis Bike Tires
Brochure measures 3.5 x 6.25 inches and opens to 10.5 inches across.
I've done some limited research on the company and as far as I can tell the company was established in the late 19th or early 20th century in Newark, Ohio. Ohio emerged at the time as a world leader in rubber production. Akron, Ohio was referred to as "the Rubber Capital of the World" through the mid 20th century. The Pharis Tire and Rubber company manufactured Bicycle and later automobile tires and employed over 1,000 workers in 1912.
Below is a photo of a "trolley conveyor" at use at the Pharis Tire Company in 1929.
