1920s Collection of Auto Tires and Seat Cover Ephemera
The collection includes: an envelope, letter, invoice, "Jobber" pamphlet and a fabric sample from the "Ideal Manufacturing Company" in Burlington, VT. It seems "Ideal" manufactured and sold Automobile seat covers, rugs, windows and other replacement parts and accessories for various automobile brands. The original company was located at the corner of Broad and Margaret streets in Burlington, VT.
The collection also includes an order form from the Continental Tire Corporation, a tire price list from Sears, Roebuck and Co., a Gates tire patch brochure and a brochure from the Honorbilt Tire Company in Chicago, Ill. (total of 8 individual items)
Condition: Individual pieces are in very good condition. Some are better then others but generally very good. The Honorbilt Tire brochure has rusted staples and the Gates tire patch brochure is missing the sample "Gum" compound utilized for tire patches.
